We provide quality child care services and educational programs for infants, toddlers, and preschool children, ages 6 weeks to school age.
We also offer exciting educational enrichment activities such as: gardening, music, art, Spanish, sign language, and onsite visits from community leaders; Summer and Fall camp.
OurStaff
All staff members have been screened and selected under the requirements mandated by the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning and has completed the state and federal law enforcement background checks, including fingerprinting.
Our staff members love working with children and have a gentle, caring personality to help your child flourish. Our staff respect and accept children and their parents as they are, and look forward in working with your children.
A Letter from the Director
Dear Parents and Families:
My name is Odiri Akiri. I am the owner and Director of Oxford Academy Preschool.
I have a Master of Science degree in Nursing from Walden University; a Director’s Training from Bright from the Start – Georgia’s Department of Early Care and Learning to own and operate a childcare facility. I am also a certified Nurse Practitioner with about a decade of clinical experience.
I and my Co-director, Ms. Erika Johnson have a shared interest in providing a safe, healthy, and educational environment where children from all backgrounds can flourish. We both understand how important and comforting it is for parents to know that their child is in a safe enriching learning environment. Together we’ve joined forces to create a secure, nurturing, affordable childcare service for parents and families in the Powder Springs area.
We truly believe that family is a fundamental core and essential part of a child’s life. Oxford Daycare Preschool strives to be a significant, positive extension of your family. We provide a well-balanced day that nurtures your child’s confidence, encourages their ability to learn, and teaches each child to be prepared for the life ahead of them.
Oxford Daycare Preschool is registered with the state of Georgia and licensed by Georgia’s Department of Early Care and Learning and Cobb County.
Each of our staff has been carefully selected and obtains the appropriate credentials, background screening, and fingerprinting required by local and state. Oxford Daycare Preschool is aligned with the Bright from the Start Georgia’s Department of Early Care and Learning regulations to protect and preserve the health, safety, and overall well-being of your child.
